The second platfrom this project refect is neocities. Neocities is a web hosting service that was launched in 2013 as a revival of the original Geocities platform, which had been shut down by Yahoo in 2009. Neocities aims to provide a similar service to Geocities, allowing users to create and host their own personal websites for free. Like Geocities, it uses a neighborhood metaphor to organize and categorize user-created web pages and it is also an open-source project.

Neocities is not officially tied to the original Geocities platform, but it was created as a nostalgic tribute to it and as a way to preserve the spirit of the original platform. It allows users to create websites using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, just like in the 90s and it also provides some features and tools that were not available on the original Geocities.

It provides a platform for users who are interested in the early days of the web and the nostalgia of the time. Many users of Neocities find it as a way to preserve the memories of the original Geocities, and also to keep the spirit of the web alive.
